With over 300 teams participating in the 31st Annual Columbus Day Tournament, Holliston Youth Soccer was represented by nine teams: 6 girls teams and 3 boys teams.
Two entrants participated in the U12 Girls Delta Group: Lisa Curto's Strikers (A Bracket) and Chris Guccione's Crazy Spoonheads (C Bracket). The Spoonheads went 2-0-1, including a 2-2 draw and a tie for 1st place with the Needham Bolts, but took the bracket in penalty kicks. The Strikers went 3-0, winning their bracket, but lost their semi-final 2-0 to the wildcard Needham Bolts. With the Crazy Spoonheads winning their their semi-final against the Needham Strikers, they earned another match against the Bolts in the finals. After regulation and overtime they would be locked in a 0-0 tie, but this time the Spoonheads would fall in penalty kicks, and finish in 2nd place.
In U12 Boys Beta Group play, John Potemri's Holliston Cannons went 3-0 in a tight bracket, including a 1-0 and 2-1 result. In the semi-finals they came back from a 4-0 deficit to tie a strong Sudbury Academy team, but eventually lost in penalty kicks. Sudbury would go on to win the championship.
