HYSA organizes a fall soccer festival (Soccerfest) for our intramural program. With the correlation to it’s scheduling around Halloween, it has become better known as Spookerfest.
The festival is a one-day tournament and is for "in-town" only teams, which includes our K-Clinic, U8 Boys and Girls, and U10 (non-travel) Boys and Girls.
Matches have recently been held at our Marshall St. Complex, where the children usually don’t have their games.
The two full sized turf fields are temporarily lined to accommodate six small-sided 6v6 matches with appropriate sized goals.
All matches will be 6v6 with goalkeepers. This is something different for our K-Clinic and U-8 programs, but it exposes them to something different.
The K-Clinic plays a single game during their normal timeslot at the festival. No fee is charged.
The U-8 and U-10 programs play three matches each, two 20-minute halves per game. An entrance fee for this level is required.
Participation awards are provided for all players after the team’s last game.
The festival usually includes some additional activities and concessions.
