HYSA is excited to introduce a new pilot program in the Spring of 2024, the Panther Academy, designed specifically for 2nd and 3rd Grade boys and girls who exhibit strong soccer skills and have a keen interest in advancing their abilities.
The Panther Academy has been created by a group of enthusiastic Holliston soccer parents who are looking to supplement the existing HYSA grade 2 and 3 recreational programs with a structured technical program. This program will be tailored to young athletes that are looking to further develop their skills, but may not be ready to commit to a competitive club. The goal of this program is to provide athletes with an opportunity to get more touches on the ball in an organized training environment and receive quality instruction from knowledgeable and experienced coaches. Focus, commitment, and a desire to improve are necessary qualities for athletes to succeed at the Academy.
Program Details:
- Cost: $50 registration fee (training shirt included)
- Training Sessions: Saturdays at Marshall Street, 5PM-6:15PM for 6 weeks (April 13, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18, June 1)
- Focus: 30-45 minutes of advanced skill development by qualified coaches.
- Scrimmages: 30-minute games (7v7 with goalkeepers) to enhance on-field experience.
We believe that the Panther Academy will provide a challenging and supportive environment for your child to further develop their soccer talents and get them ready to compete in the BAYS Travel Soccer League when they are older. Please note that spots in Panther Academy are limited, and we encourage those with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for soccer to sign up early.
